Obituary

Long Thanh Le, age 33, of Minneapolis, passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2026.  Long is survived by his wife, Alison Le (nee Farrell); his parents Thanh and Trucmai; his brothers Henry and Ryan; his grandparents; his dog Windsor; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, and close friends.

Long was born in Vietnam and came to Minnesota with his father when he was just one year old. He grew up in Minneapolis, attended Northfield High School, and graduated from the University of Minnesota, where he was a proud member of the Sigma Pi fraternity. Never one to shy away from a new opportunity, Long began his career at Epic in Madison, Wisconsin, a decision that would lead him on his greatest adventure.

One word that keeps coming up as we remember Long is adventurous. He embraced life with an open heart and endless curiosity, always ready for wherever the next path might lead. In 2018, that path brought him to Alison when they were placed on the same project at Epic. What started as a friendship quickly became a love story. Their work took them to Dallas every other week before they made a new home together in Austin, Texas. There they bought their first house, welcomed their beloved dog Windsor, and in 2024 celebrated their marriage surrounded by family and friends.

After five years of fun in Texas, Long and Alison knew their next adventure was bringing them back home to Minneapolis. In the past four months, they filled their weekends reconnecting with friends, discovering new restaurants, and exploring parks and waterfalls with Windsor. They made the most of every moment together.

Long's adventurous spirit could be found in everything he loved. Whether he was traveling the world, dancing at music festivals, or exploring South Korea and Japan with his brothers, Henry and Ryan, he was always seeking new experiences. He was an avid Formula One fan and a devoted supporter of Lando Norris and enjoyed his Sunday mornings watching the race, regardless of what time zone they were in. At home, that same spirit carried into the kitchen, where he loved trying something new, perfecting homemade family favorite recipes, and faithfully tending to his sourdough starter. His camera was never far from reach, capturing the places he visited and the people he loved. And when he wasn't planning his next trip, cooking something new, or chasing the perfect loaf of bread, he could often be found adventuring in World of Warcraft with friends.

Above all, Long's greatest adventure was the life he built with Alison. Together they created a life full of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. He was a devoted husband, a loving son, brother and uncle, and a loyal friend whose kindness, adventurous spirit, and ability to bring people together will be deeply missed.

As we remember Long, we hope you'll honor him the way he lived: say yes to the trip, explore somewhere new, take the photo, spend time with the people you love, and embrace every adventure. There is no better way to keep his spirit alive.
