Lorraine Viola
Kaehn
Jul 31, 1924 — May 2, 2025
Eden Praire
Lorraine V. Kaehn, age 100, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025 at Eden Prairie Senior Living where she had been a resident for the past five years. She was born in South Minneapolis on July 31, 1924 and is preceded in death by parents Christian and Esther Wrayge, twin sister Irene Luedke, younger brothers Roland (Bud) and Harold Wrayge and her husband of 68 years, William Kaehn.
She is survived by children William, Christi (Hugo Bitzer) and Jon Kaehn; grandchildren Austin (Brianna) Kaehn, Jase Ginkel (Sarah Scheidegger), Abby Bitzer, Alexa Bitzer, Kimberly Kaehn, Jaron Ginkel, and Christian (Halie) Kaehn; great-grandchildren Landry, Elia, Case, and Violet Kaehn. Lorraine loved her family. Her husband, Bill, was the love of her life. They met on Valentine's Day on a blind date and he said it was love at first sight! They were married in June of 1948 and had three children. Her twin sister, Irene, was her best friend. Lorraine also loved beauty. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, who was able to capture the beauty of nature in her many paintings that have since become family treasures. Lorraine's secret to a long life was to wake up every day happy. She loved to laugh, appreciated all life had to offer, never complained, and always had a smile for everyone.
Sweet Lorraine was, and forever will be, immensely loved and dearly missed by her family and by those who knew her.
