Lucille H. Fors "Lucy" age 84, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025.  Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Helen McGrath; her husband of 58 years, Robert and her daughter, Elizabeth.

Lucy was born in Wabasha, Minnesota, but grew up in Lake City.  After graduating from Lincoln High in 1958, she attended Mankato State.  After moving to Minneapolis she met and married Robert Fors in 1965 and raised four children.  Lucy was devoted to her family; a stable, steady influence to her children and grandchildren.  Lucy and Bob enjoyed traveling together and watching sports, any Minnesota Gopher sports and the Minnesota Twins.  Lucy worked as the first computer clerk at Cedar Park Elementary where she made lifelong friends.

After retirement, Lucy and Bob spend a portion of the winter in St. Pete Beach, Florida.  She would also take a yearly trip with her group of high school friends.  Lucy was an avid reader of fiction novels.  She loved being a part of her book club and a special group of sorority sisters.

Survived by brothers Ronald (Bev) McGrath, Daniel McGrath; son Erik (Fidias) Fors; daughters Susan (Lars) Erickson, Melissa (Glen) Shackelford; grandchildren Andrew Erickson, Kaylyn Fors, Evan (Sarra) Erickson, Niklas Erickson.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, October 6th at 11:30 am with visitation one hour prior at All Saints Catholic Church 19795 Holyoke Ave., Lakeville.  Interment alongside her husband Robert at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
