Lynda Elizabeth Barton (Mecay) passed away peacefully at age 80 on October 25, 2025 in Apply Valley, MN.

Survived by husband, Craig, daughter, Tricia Dougherty, sisters, Marleen Mecay and Kathy Lester (Gene), grandchildren, Kristina (Zac Condon), Adam Dougherty (Jasmine), Lindsay Dougherty, Vanessa Dougherty, niece, Melissa Lester, nephew, Darin Lester, great niece, Olivia, great grandchildren, Brielle and Julien, and many other beloved family and friends.

Preceeded in death by parents, Maynard and Norma Mecay, son, Mike, siblings, Caryn Mecay and Steve Mecay, sister-in-law, Judy Mecay, grandson, Matthew Dougherty, uncles, Harvey and Bob Carling, and aunt, Harriet Wick.

There will be a service at White Funeral Home 14560 Pennock Ave., Apple Valley, MN on November 8, 2025. The service will begin at 11am with visitation an hour before.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
