Obituary

Marc Williams, age 68 of Farmington passed away February 8, 2025 surrounded by his family after a hard fought battle with cancer.  Preceded in death by his parents:  Henry and Jeanne.  Survived by his step-father, Orlin Lesetmoe; daughter, Elizebeth; granddaughter, Kinsley; siblings: Annetta (Jim) Fyksen, Maxine (Ron) Wrase, Phillip (Sheryl) Mandigo, and Aprile (Dave) Barton; also by other loving family and friends including his nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Buddy.

Marc was born on March 16, 1956, in Farmington, where he was raised and lived his entire life. Growing up on Walnut Street with his mother, stepfather, and four siblings, he developed a deep connection to his community. Marc had a passion for sports, excelling in cross country, bowling, and especially hockey. He graduated from Farmington High School in 1974 and went on to pursue his degree in diagnostic automotive mechanics, graduating #1 in his class from Alexandria Tech. Marc's love for anything with a motor—whether cars, trucks, snowmobiles, or his cherished Harleys—was evident throughout his life. Marc became a father, and in 2013, he was blessed to become a grandfather. His girls were the light of his life.  He worked as an engineering technician, starting with the FAA in 2001, and was highly regarded by his colleagues for his work ethic and positive attitude.

A pillar of his community, Marc was deeply involved in various organizations. He dedicated his time and energy to serving others, always finding joy in giving without expecting anything in return. His generosity knew no bounds, and he was known for his kind heart, warm smile, and willingness to help anyone in need.

Marc's legacy of kindness, generosity, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
