In Loving Memory of Marcea Vetscher

Marcea Vetscher, 83, passed away peacefully after a long journey with Alzheimers on August 31, 2026 in Farmington Minnesota. She was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on January 7, 1943, and grew up in Platte, South Dakota. Marcea was a woman known for her devotion to family, bringing people together, hosting her annual garage sale, and always had a smile and hug for everyone.

Throughout her life, Marcea found joy in gardening, sewing and spending time with her family She was a bookkeeper by profession, but sewing was her heart. Her presence was a source of joy to everyone who knew her.

In accordance with Marcea’s wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation services. Instead, she asked that her loved ones celebrate her life by living theirs to the fullest. To honor her memory, her family suggests doing something Marcea did every day: be kind, forgive others quickly, and laugh often.

For those who wish to make a commemorative gift, the family requests donations be made in Marcea’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or to a charity of your choice that reflects your own passions.

Marcea is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, William “Bill” Vetscher. Children: Robert (Maria) Vetscher, Deborah (Troy) Corrigan and Sheryl Vetscher. Grandchildren: Matthew Corrigan, Tara (Samuel) Schulz, Billy (Jessica) Savoren, Ashley (Connor) Flack, and Megan (Luke) Kriesel. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Leona Everson and brother Delwyn Everson.
