Marie Charlotte Irons Magee Nelson was born on June 17, 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Roland Earl "Jack" Irons and Ruth Nadia Wilsey.  She peacefully passed away in her home on October 9, 2025 in Savage, Minnesota. On September 20, 1958 she married Timothy Michael Magee.They had 5 children, Timothy Jr., Jeffrey, Theodore, Catherine and Caroline.  Marie graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BSN, and MPH/ANP.  She worked as a nurse and as a professor of nursing. On January 20, 1990 she married Marvin Dale Nelson.

She is survived by her children, Timothy Jr., Theodore (Liz), Catherine and Caroline; and her grandchildren Gabrielle Lacher, Samantha Magee, Molly Magee.and Jamie Hight.

Marie was preceased by her parents, her son Jeffrey and her husband Marvin.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations to VEAP (https://veap.org/ways-to-give/donate-funds/) , the food bank that serves the area including Savage, Burnsville and Richfield be made in her memory.
