Obituary

Marilyn C. Micholic, 86, entered her eternal rest on June 6, 2026, at her residence, Sunrise Senior Living in Edina, Minnesota.

Born to Joseph L. Conrad and Isabel A. Conrad (Gerritts), Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Gerald P. Micholic; her parents; and her eldest sister, Shirley Conrad.

A native of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, Marilyn was known for her warmth, kindness, and lifelong devotion to family and friends. She was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed playing cards. Marilyn treasured the many friendships she cultivated throughout her life, especially those with her high school friends. They remained close over the years and shared many memorable girls' trips together.

Marilyn was a devoted mother to her four sons: Todd (Joy Watson), Jeff (Ann Ermeling), Gregg (ex-wife Judi Iverson), and Jay (Tina Walker). After raising her family, she pursued a long-held goal of becoming a nurse, earning her Registered Nurse degree from North Central Technical College in Wausau, Wisconsin. She went on to serve patients with compassion and dedication in hospitals in Wisconsin, Georgia, and Minnesota.

Her greatest joy was her growing family. Marilyn was a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren: Michael (Natalie Huffman) and Jennifer Joy (Derek Clement); Jack and Joseph; Peter (Anna Pietz) and Thomas; and Brooke (Kalvin Baena), Tyler, Isabelle, and Matthew. She was also a proud great-grandmother to six: Dylan and Leah Clement; Ramona, Margot, and Harriet Micholic; and Blair Baena. Marilyn is also survived by her sister LaVonne Mueller and her brother William Conrad.

Marilyn will be remembered for her caring spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the many lives she touched through friendship, service, and compassion.
