Obituary

Mary Ann (Dalton) Day, age 86, passed away on January 23, 2026 in the presence of her daughters.

Mary Ann was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After marrying her beloved husband, Richard, she spent years traveling throughout the United States alongside him, creating memories and adventures together while he was in the Navy. She later devoted herself to raising their four daughters, a role she cherished deeply. Once her children were grown, Mary Ann worked a variety of fun and fulfilling jobs until her retirement.

Mary Ann had a special gift for using humor to navigate any situation, a trait her family and friends will always remember. She had a passion for collecting, enjoyed watching the Minnesota Lynx, and especially loved traveling with Richard in search of unique collectibles. Her laughter,
warmth, and quick wit brought light to those around her.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her father (John) and Mother (Sylvia); her sister (Joanne) and brother (Michael); and her granddaughter (Vanessa).

She is survived by her siblings, Patricia, Geraldine, Stephen (Therese), Kay (Terry) and four daughters, Cathy (Shannon), Beth, Stephanie (David), and Christine (Scott); as well as her 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, who were a great source of pride and joy in her life.
