Myron Charles Cortte, age 78, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, at the VA Hospice in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He was born on April 11, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Oliver and Mary Cortte.

Myron was a hardworking man who took pride in his career and the life he built for his family. After graduating from high school, he attended trade school to become a fire sprinkler fitter. He went on to work as a sprinkler fitter and retired after a long and dedicated career in the trade.

Myron also proudly served his country. After being drafted during the Vietnam War, he completed basic training and was stationed in Germany for most of his military service. His time in the military was an important part of his life and something his family will always remember.

Myron was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Mary Cortte; his wife, Sharyn Cortte; and all of his brothers and sisters, Chuck, Audrey, Marilyn, and Mike.

He is survived by his son, Chris Cortte; daughter-in-law, Brook Cortte; and grandchildren, Zion Cortte, Celine Cortte, Lily Cortte, and Carlina Cortte. He is also survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Collum; son-in-law, Chris Collum; and grandchildren, Phoebe Collum, Ellie Collum, and Thomas Collum.

Myron will be remembered by his family for the life he shared with them, the work he dedicated himself to, and the memories he leaves behind. Though he is deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.

A private burial service will be held at a later date.
