Ordean Myron Spande, born July 2, 1932, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away on September 21, 2026, at Highview Hills in Lakeville, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marci (Spande) Skogen, and his sister, Eileen (Spande) Wahldeck.

Ordean is survived by his loving wife, Norma; his son, Stuart Spande; and his daughters, Nancy (Spande) Ernewein and Wendy (Spande) Walker.

Ordean graduated from St. Louis Park High School in 1950.

He discovered his lifelong passion for carpentry and home building at an early age, although he briefly considered becoming a forest ranger.

Ordean served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After his military service, he studied carpentry at Dunwoody Institute.

He continued working in home building and construction throughout his career.

Ordean was a man of faith, and it showed in the way he lived his life—with integrity, honesty, and generosity.
