Obituary

Pamela "Pam" Jean Miller, 70, of Farmington, MN passed away peacefully at home, on June 23, 2025, surrounded by her adoring family. She courageously battled brain cancer for 2 ½ years and lived life to the fullest possible until the very end.

She was born in Oelwein, IA in 1954 to Dean & Marie Allen of Fairbank, IA. She was raised on a farm with her 3 older sisters and had very fond memories of her childhood. Pam attended Pitzes Cosmetology School right out of high-school and enjoyed being a hairdresser for many years. She married the love of her life, Gary Miller of Fairbank, IA in 1973. They had their first child, Corey, in 1974 & their second child, Sarah in 1978. They resided in Fairbank, IA until 1989 when they moved to Minnesota. Pam worked in flooring stores & insurance until her retirement in 2020 at the age of 65.

Pam loved spending time with her family & playing cards or mahjong with her many cherished friends. She also enjoyed sewing & making quilts for all of her loved ones. Her quilts will be forever cherished by those who hold them.

Pam is preceded in death by 5 infant siblings, her mother, Marie Allen, stepmother Francis Allen, in-laws Leroy & Darlene Miller, brother-in-law Allen Matthews, niece Liza Frost & infant nephew Brian Tilley.

She is survived by her father Dean Allen of Fairbank, IA, husband Gary Miller of Farmington, MN, children Corey (Anne) Miller of Elko, MN & Sarah (Jake) Olson of Lakeville, MN. Sisters, Carol (Mike)Tilley of Bloomington, IN, Karen Matthews of Fairbank, IA, MaryKay (Denny)Frost of Fairbank, IA. Her 8 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. Her family will never forget the love & devotion she had for all of them.

Memorial Service to be held on 3:00 PM Sunday, June 29th at White Funeral Home in Burnsville, MN with a gathering of family and friends starting at 2:00 pm.

As a lasting tribute to Pam, the family is requesting plantable flowers/plants in lieu of cut flowers so they can be placed in a memorial garden and cherished for years to come.
