Patricia P.
Hibben
May 15, 1941 — Jan 11, 2026
Farmington
Patricia P. Hibben, age 84, of Farmington, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hibben, and her brother-in-law, Larry Springer.
Patricia is survived by her son, Ivan Hibben, and his wife, April; her grandchildren, Kyra and Spencer; and her great-grandchildren, Pierson and Iverson. She is also survived by her sisters, Leatha Springer and Gloria Mincks and her husband, Lanny, as well as other loving family members and friends, including nieces and nephews.
Patricia Pearl was born in Nashua Iowa on 5/15/1941 to Ivan and Lucille Crooks. She
loved growing up on the farm with her older sister Leatha and her younger sister Gloria.
After graduation she came to Minneapolis, MN to follow her older sister Leatha. This is
where she met Joey Hibben. They were to be wed on 10/8/1960 at the Little Brown
Church in Iowa. Pat was an amazing wife to Joey. Starting a family would not be done
the old fashion way, so they adopted Ivan Joseph who was 3 months old. Ivan was her
pride and joy. In 1997 Ivan and April made her a grandma to a girl named Kyra Lynn.
She was in love with Kyra, and they became inseparable. Then in 1999 she welcomed
grandson Spencer who was the apple of Joey's eye. Pat always beamed when talking
about her family. Living right next door to her son and his family meant that she was
able to build a bond that could never be severed. Pat and Joey would take the
grandkids in the summer to bible camp, a trip the kids always loved because they got to
go behind the scenes and help setup or get extra treats. She adored spending time with
them. She loved playing cards and games with everyone especially her nieces that
would visit frequently. Pat would become a caretaker to Joey until April 2018 when Joey
passed. In 2021, Spencer and Sam made her a great grandma (GIGI) to Pierson
Joseph and then again in 2023 to Iverson William. She was extremely proud of them
and loved seeing the boys every chance she could. She would often say how adorable
they were. Pat (Mom, Grandma, Gigi, Patty, Trish) was an amazing, sweet, and kind
soul. She treated everyone she met with love and kindness. She will be dearly missed.
