Patrick "Pat" Raymond Ploog

Patrick "Pat" Raymond Ploog, age 82, of Lakeville, Minnesota, passed away May 3, 2025.

Born on February 3, 1943, in Blue Earth, Minnesota, to Ray and Ramona Ploog.  Pat's life was marked by devotion to family, a strong work ethic, and a passion for horses and sports.

Over 55 years ago, Pat married his beloved wife, Patty Nybo. Together, they built a life in Lakeville, raising their children in a home filled with love, laughter, and shared passions.

A dedicated paint contractor, Pat worked with several major home builders for over five decades, leaving a lasting mark on countless homes throughout the area.

Pat was also an avid horse enthusiast. He and Patty showed quarter horses until their daughters were old enough to take the reins. Pat was a fierce competitor and found immense joy in watching his daughters excel in horse shows and his son play hockey, baseball, and football. This passion continued on to watching his grandchildren compete.

Pat is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patty; his children Kimm, Lia, Jodie, and Kurt; six grandchildren; and his brother, Michael Ploog.

A celebration of Pat's life will be held June 6 from 4-7 PM at Simon Arena in Cannon Falls, MN.
Pat will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
