Apple Valley

Obituary

Perry Lee Olson, 84, of Apple Valley, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, surrounded by his family after a long battle with Alzheimers and diabetes. Perry took his final breath shortly after his wife of 67 years, Stacia, arrived to embrace him and say goodbye.

Perry and Stacia were married in Albert Lea, Minnesota, where Perry began his career as a coffee and product salesman for 4 Seasons. In 1966, the couple moved to Apple Valley, where they built a loving home and raised their six children.

In 1986, Perry purchased and operated Taco Fiesta in the Burnsville Center. He enjoyed meeting new people every day and never missed an opportunity to strike up a conversation. After selling the business, Perry began a career at Belzer's Chevrolet in Lakeville, where he spent 24 years helping customers find the perfect vehicle and building lasting friendships.

Throughout his life, Perry enjoyed many hobbies, including training dogs for shows, playing golf and singing to his grandchildren while playing his guitar. He was an expert Archer; where he earned numerous awards and accolades. Perry was known for his warm smile and greeting everyone with a handshake. Above all else, he treasured spending time with friends and family, often sharing stories and laughter over a cup of coffee.

Perry was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Riney Olson, Arlene (Phil) Hanson, all of Albert Lea; and by his in-laws, Palmer and Marjorie Thompson of Clarks Grove.

Perry is survived by his wife, Stacia; his children, Shelly (Brian) Haug, Scott (Colleen Johnson) Olson, Troy Olson, Deb (Tad) Angell, Tim (Misty) Olson, and Wendy Olson; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and his brother, Dale Olson of Arizona, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
