Peter James Meisch, age 68 of Lakeville, passed away October 23, 2025 at Methodist Hospital after a long courageous battle with the after effects of cancer.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Linus and Mary Meisch; dear sister, Diane Durant, and brother-in-law, John Durant. Pete is survived by the love of his life and wife of 42 years, Susan; adored daughter, Sarah, and son-in-law, Xavier Lacombe; beloved siblings and their spouses, Mary and Matt Powell, Paul and Margaret Meisch, George Meisch and Julie Doorenbos. Also survived by Sue's family, cherished nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and feisty puppy Teddy.

Pete was raised in West St. Paul. He graduated from St. Thomas Academy, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and William Mitchell College of Law. He retired in 2019 from Hennepin County.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Animal Humane Society, Golden Valley or to Doctors without Borders.

Celebration of Life will be held 11 AM Friday October 31, 2025 at the White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood Tr., Lakeville, MN. Lunch and fellowship will follow the service. Internment, Cedar Hill Cemetery in Elysian, MN at a later date.
