In Loving Memory of Pheat Sophia Pin Khuon

April 2, 1946 – June 25, 2026

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Pheat Sophia Pin Khuon, who passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on June 25, 2026, at the age of 80.

Born on April 2, 1946, Pheat lived a life marked by extraordinary resilience, unwavering love, and quiet strength. She survived the atrocities of the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia, enduring unimaginable hardship with courage and determination. After escaping, she immigrated to the United States, where she and her family built a new life founded on hope, perseverance, and opportunity.

Pheat devoted her life to her family. She worked tirelessly to ensure her children were always supported, fed, clothed, and had a roof over their heads. Through countless sacrifices and an unwavering work ethic, she gave her family the opportunity to thrive. Her greatest accomplishment was seeing the life she built continue through her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Chansavda Khuon, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. She also leaves behind her four loving children: Solida Khuon; Soriya Khuon and his spouse, Shana; Chanchrisna Kish and her spouse, Phil; and Sopheara Khuon and his spouse, Nina.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Dylan, Cordell, Quinn, Kyler, Cordae, Olive, Wylder, Scout, Randy, Ray J, and Pich. Nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by her grandchildren. She cherished every moment with them and celebrated each of their accomplishments with pride and unconditional love.

Pheat will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, humility, and steadfast devotion to those she loved. She had a love for beautiful jewelry, treasured long conversations and laughter with her sisters, delighted in playing jokes on her children, and found her greatest happiness playing with her grandchildren. She welcomed everyone with warmth and taught her family the importance of hard work, compassion, perseverance, and putting family first. Her life was a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the enduring power of a mother's love.

Though she is no longer with us, the values she instilled and the love she shared will continue to guide her family for generations to come. Her story—from surviving unimaginable adversity to building a life filled with love and opportunity—will never be forgotten.

Pheat Sophia Pin Khuon will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered. Her legacy of resilience, sacrifice, laughter, and unconditional love will live on in all who knew her.
