Philip Anton
Roehrich Jr.
Oct 21, 1943 — Feb 27, 2026
Farmington
Philip Anton Roehrich Jr., age 82, of Farmington, passed away in his home on February 27, 2026. He was welcomed home with open arms by the love of his life Marcia, his son, Darren, and of course, little dog Petey, we know wasn't far behind.
Phil was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota on October 21st, 1943, as the oldest of 4 children. He spent most of his childhood in Indiana where he graduated high school in 1961. His first job was at the Ford plant, which was just one of the many careers he would go on to have. Phil was the jack of all trades AND the master of all. There was nothing he couldn't do. He lived his life to the fullest! Whether it was drag racing his GTO down the highway, traveling to Florida on a whim to catch a hammerhead shark, or driving his brand new sports car right off the showroom floor.
Always paid for in cash too. Phil did what he wanted to do when he wanted to do it and he lived an adventure filled life because of it.
He married his wife of 45 years, Marcia Jean, on October 4th 1974 and began their family in Dyer, Indiana. They raised their 3 children, Philip III, Darren, and Stacey, in Indiana until 1985 when they moved their family to Apple Valley, Minnesota to pursue new opportunities. There Phil was a carpenter and worked on projects long after retirement. He was always tinkering on something in the garage. If he wasn't working on projects, he was up at the lake fishing, his favorite pastime.
In 2002 he welcomed his first grandchild and began a new era in his life of spoiling his grandchildren. Phil had 4 grandchildren and 5 bonus grandchildren whom he adored. He loved woodworking and making toys for them, like his signature rocking Harley motorcycle. He would take them camping in the backyard and taught them all how to fish. Mostly so he could enjoy a fresh caught Friday fish fry! Papa Phil was the best story teller, always eager to share his extravagant tales while his grandchildren listened on the edge of their seats.
Philip was a one of a kind man. A bit of a grump in his older years when his technology wasn't working how he wanted it to. But he had a kind soul and would help anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. However, he has been welcomed home by his wife and is finally whole again.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Sr. and step-mother Marge Roehrich, wife Marcia Roehrich, son Darren Roehrich, and brother Mike (Colleen) Roehrich Sr. He is survived by his children, Philip III (Melissa) Roehrich, Stacey Edwards, and daughter-in-law Emily Roehrich. Grandchildren, Natalie, Philip, Hannah, Lauren, bonus grandchildren Zack, Amanda, Mariya, Zach, and Mikayla, and one great grandson, siblings Dennis (Pat) Roehrich, Patricia Plunkett and step-siblings. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 6th, 2026 at White Funeral Home, 14560 Pennock Aveune, Apple Valley, MN 55124. With a gathering of family and friends at 12:00 PM.
