Richard Wolff, age 83, of Prior Lake, passed away on September 14, 2026. Dick was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and his presence will be deeply missed.
After school in Janesville where he enjoyed wrestling, Dick joined the Army National Guard and served from 1965 to 1971. Throughout his life, Dick enjoyed spending time outdoors, working hard to meticulously upkeep the many acres they resided on with interests in old tractors, cars, coins, and guns. He had a love of birds, their calls, and watching them.
Dick was born October 29, 1942, to Charles & Madelyne (Burns) Wolff. He married Bernadette Zimny at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake on August 13, 1966. Originally from Madison Lake, Dick and Berny started their lives together in Eagle Lake before moving to Lakeville and then settling in Prior Lake, MN. They spent a few years in Gaylord, MI in the early 90’s before returning to Prior Lake.
Dick is survived by his wife Berny of 60 years, children Wayne (Alison Hedman) and Barbara Wolff, grandchild Logan Wolff, brothers James (Betty) Wolff, Raymond Wolff, Lawrence (Betsy) Wolff, Timothy (Sue) Wolff, Gerald (Mary Kay) Wolff, sisters Bernetta Wolff, Marcia (Glenn) Cotton, Karla Wells, sisters-in-law Yvonne Wolff and Mary Wolff, brother-in-law Elbert Wells, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Wolff, Jr.
Visitation will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2026, at White Funeral Home, 12804 Nicollet Ave, Burnsville, MN 55337. The family invites all who know him to attend and share their favorite memories. If you have something blue, please wear it as that was Dad’s favorite color. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55450.
