Richard John Guentzel, "Dick" age 86 of Lakeville, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 1, 2025. Dick was born on March 14, 1939 in Mankato, MN to Raymond and Lucy Guentzel.

Dick started a tower construction business in 1972, Tri State Erection and owned and operated until 1997 at which time his son, Joe, retained the business. Dick cherished his family, talking with his sister, and spending time hunting and fishing with his boys and relatives.

Dick is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary; parents, and brother-in-law, Gordon Cook.

He is survived by his children, Joe (DeAnn), Sue (Jay) Blanchard, Paula (Kent) Peterson, and John (Jodi); grandchildren: Lynsey, Michael (Kayla), Karlee, Jake, Isabelle, Jack (Natalie), Megan, Emily (Cole), Eric, Katie, Annie, and Joseph; great grandchildren: Braylynn, Rowan, Lily, Charlie, Ellie, Brixton, Kevin, and Brock; also by his sister, Marcella Cook, and other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at All Saints Catholic Church, 19795 Holyoke Ave., Lakeville, visitation starting at 10 AM at church. Private interment, Lakeville Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
