Robert “Bob” Rausch, age 98, passed away Sunday, August 30th at the Arbors at Ridges assisted living center in Burnsville, MN.
Born January 17th, 1928, to Frank and Cecilia Rausch in St. Cloud, MN. Bob grew up in St. Cloud and later served in the U.S. Army. After his service, he attended St. John’s University and went on to build a long career as an insurance adjustor until his retirement.
In 1959, Bob married Gladys Gohman in St. Cloud, MN. Bob and Gladys enjoyed 57 years of marriage before her passing in 2016. In his free time, Bob enjoyed playing golf, fishing outings with the family, hunting in North and South Dakota, as well as traveling to visit family and friends all over the country.
Bob is survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Steven and Angie Rausch (Briana, Joel, Nathan), Douglas and Lori Rausch (Kyle), and Karen and Jeff Danberg (Jessica). He is also survived by his sister, Mary Lou Johnson of Wayzata.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, his parents, and siblings Adalaide Boyle, Frank Rausch, Walter Rausch and Marcella McCann.
Visitation will be held at 10 am on September 25th, followed by the funeral at 11 am, both at Mary Mother of the Church in Burnsville, MN. A lunch will be served after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for a memorial at the Arbors at Ridges. We would also like to thank the staff at the Arbors, Brightstar and the VA for the great care he received.
