Robert Dennis Mohlis, age 74, of Savage, MN passed away peacefully at his home on September 25, 2026, after a two-year battle with cancer.

Bob was born on October 17, 1951, in Cresco, Iowa to LaVern R. and Dora A. (Fay) Mohlis, the third of five children. Bob graduated from Burnsville High School from the class of 1969 and then attended Luther College in Decorah, IA where he graduated in 1973.

On September 16, 1978, he married Catherine Trevis, and from this union, two daughters were born.

Bob retired from Brocade Communication Systems in 2017 after a long career in business analytics. Retirement allowed Bob to spend more time doing the things he was passionate about - fishing, hunting, playing golf, and spending time with his family.

He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his wife Cathy, daughters Lacey (Casey) Burres, Betsy (Nathaniel) McIntyre; grandchildren, Olive Burres, Pippa Burres, Posey Burres, and Juniper McIntyre; his siblings, Vicki (Mark) Donhowe, Kathy (Steve) Severson, Lisa (Dave) Kittleson; He is also survived by his brothers and sisters in law, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, other beloved relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael Kurt Mohlis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6901 Normandale Road, Edina, MN on October 5, 2026 at 2:00, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Light refreshments following the service.
