Obituary

Ronald  W. Lessard  Age 87, of Lakeville, passed away on May 31st, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. The eldest of four, he was preceded in death by his parents, sister, brother and son, David.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn (Fahey) Lessard, step-children Mark (Dave) Lozano, Anne (Ed) Hajek, Jeff Lozano, and children Lisa Lessard, Rob Lessard, Josh (Lori) Lessard, nieces, nephews and beloved grandchildren Clare, Ian, Rory, Jack, Charlie, Maria, and Katie.

Ron was a member of the Knights of Columbus at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Crosslake, and loved to take hunting trips with his friends and son. He also was a member of the Boy Scouts enjoying the time helping and educating younger kids. A long-time IBMer for 45 years, he loved technology and during his life he lived in the Twin Cities, Cedar Rapids, Rochester, Breezy Point/Crosslake and finally Lakeville.

Ron spent much of his time with church and local friends everywhere he went. He and Marilyn thoroughly enjoyed education and received their Master's Degrees, at the same time in 1998. He also loved to chat with everyone, spending time on extended family vacations and boating on lakes, heading to the sandbar with the grandchildren, whenever possible. Ron also spent a great deal of time with his grandkids, playing board games, having them visit "up north", and driving around on the four-wheeler and letting some of them drive the golfcart.

Most of all, he treasured his wife, his true love, Marilyn. Married in 1993, they spent every possible moment together for the 33 years they were married. Over the years, they traveled together when possible, and even had a chance to visit Ireland on an extended-family trip.

He was loved by so many and will be missed by all.
