Sally Anne
Bigoness
Oct 5, 1942 — Jul 27, 2025
Farmington
Sally Anne Bigoness, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on October 5, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. She spent her early years enjoying cherished childhood summers at the family farm in South Dakota. She graduated from Immaculata High School in 1960 and married the love of her life, Jerry, in 1963.
Four years later, they settled in Solon Springs, Wisconsin, where they owned and operated a bowling alley in Gordon, Wisconsin. Sally also worked as a secretary at a correctional facility and was an active devoted member of the Catholic church.
Between 1964 and 1978, Sally and Jerry welcomed four daughters into their family, creating a home filled with fun, adventures and laughter.
Following the birth of their daughters, Jerry moved the family to Minnesota to begin a new career. During this time, Sally was a homemaker and dedicated herself to her community as a Girl Scout troop leader and religion teacher. Her next adventure led her back to Illinois which brought her happiness, as she loved being around her immediate family and treasured her time with her in-laws and many nieces and nephews. Ultimately their desire to be near all their children brought them back to Minnesota.
Sally began her career as an executive assistant and ultimately retired from Delta Dental in 2008. Following retirement, Sally and Jerry moved north to Paynesville, Minnesota, to enjoy peaceful lake views before returning to Solon Springs, Wisconsin. It is there where she loved watching deer wander through their yard, enjoyed the towering trees that surrounded their home, and even appreciated the occasional visits from bears and other wildlife that made their wooded sanctuary so special. In 2019 they moved back to the Twin Cities where most of their family resided.
Watching her family grow through marriages and births of grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy. She spent all her free time at their cabin, otherwise known as her "happy place". Other enjoyments included watching movies, reading, shopping, spending time with her family and her faithful dog Snickers. Some of her greatest memories were travels which took her to Europe, Canada, Mexico, and many states on mother-daughter-sister trips. She will be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and her innocent manner.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Gerald (Jerry) Bigoness, and their four cherished daughters: Kat (Terry) Fuoss, Lynette (Brett) Glenna, Jeanine (Craig) Hesse, and Jennifer Bigoness.
Sally was also a proud grandmother to Wes (Jana) Isaacson, Brent (Nicole) Isaacson, Alyssa (Nick) Johnson, Matt Hesse, Dirk Hesse, and Katie Kurowicki. Her legacy further extends to her two great-grandchildren, Piper Isaacson and Vincent Johnson, who brought immense joy to her later years. She is also survived by her sister, Chris Midday and many nieces and nephews.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Ardelle Obermoeller and Roy Guenther, great-grandmother Mabel (Gram) Kittelson, her brother, Michael Obermoeller and her dog, Snickers.
Sally will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, who will forever cherish the countless moments of love and happiness she brought into their lives.
