Obituary

We are immensely saddened to announce that our son, Salvador "Sal" Antonio Morales, tragically passed away on February 25th, 2026, at the age of 26.

Sal was born on March 31st, 1999, to his loving parents, Michael and Lidia Morales.  He leaves behind his parents, his siblings Adriana (Jeff) Ray, Erica (Jeremiah) Murphy, and Michael Morales, Grandmother Genevieve Morales, his close friend and mentor Honorable Dennis J. Murphy, Dr. Alexander Troster, several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends who all stood by him throughout his life. Sal truly cherished his family and friends who admired him for his kind heart, confidence, loyalty, intelligence, incredible sense of humor, physical strength, and adventurous spirit. They will carry forward his legacy of strength and compassion.

Sal graduated from Lakeville North High School, where he played varsity football and lacrosse before attending Concordia University, St. Paul, where he earned a B.S. in International Business with a minor in Marketing, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Sal had a brilliant entrepreneurial mind, even as a young boy, by selling sticks of gum for a dollar in elementary school to "earn a profit." At the age of 24, Sal became the owner of a Red Savoy pizza franchise located in Blaine and had other business opportunities he was in the process of pursuing.

Although Sal was taken from us much too soon, we believe the true beauty of his life is found not in how long he lived, but rather in how fully he lived his life. Sal was very musically talented, playing both the piano and saxophone at an early age.  He enjoyed playing and watching sports, fishing, playing golf, cooking, listening to all kinds of music - especially old-fashioned country and western, and playing video games with his brother and friends. He also earned his black belt in Taekwondo at the young age of 8.  Sal's influence endures in the laughter he sparked, the lessons he shared, and the many acts of generosity and loyalty that reflected the heart of who he was. This sudden and unexpected departure has left an indescribable void in our lives that can never truly be filled, and he will be missed more than words can ever describe. In our sadness and sorrow, we celebrate a life that was lived wholesomely and with great resilience.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4th, at White Funeral Home in Lakeville from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., where memories and stories about Sal will be shared. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 5th, at All Saints Catholic Church in Lakeville at 11:30 a.m., with a viewing at 10:30 a.m., before the service, where we will honor a life that was taken from us too soon but will undoubtedly continue to inspire us.

Forever loved, cherished, and in our hearts. Fly high, Beast.
