Obituary

Sarah Lynnette Beno, age 42 of Saint Paul, formerly of Lakeville, MN passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2026. Sarah was born in Farmington, MN on May 4, 1983 to Tim and Laurie Beno

Sarah grew up on Orchard Lake in Lakeville and was a 2001 graduate of Lakeville High School. She was a gifted artist that loved painting, and drawing, her favorite media was colored pencils. While in high school she was part of the largest marching band in the United States at the time, where she worked her way up to first chair clarinet. She was voted "Best Hall Walker" as a Super Senior, and was a cheerleader.  She played Lakeville Fast Pitch softball for many years and was a standout pitcher.

She started working at the age of 16, she continued working until the birth of her first child (Avalyn) . Most of her work was in the service industry,  and a few years for Heritage Appraisals. Smart ( she rarely lost an argument),strong, feisty and resilient, great sense of humor, witty and a gorgeous smile, she always had many friends and was loved by so many people. She was such a unique and beautiful person, inside and out. Sarah loved her children more than anything in the world, and never gave up the fight to see them, talk with them, and be with them as much as possible.


Sarah loved so many things, some of her favorites were baking, cooking, especially spicy Asian foods, she was always making sure her kids had healthy meals. She loved and was always so proud of her vegetable gardens, going on cruises, loading up a cart at the Dollar Store, thrift store shopping, she loved going on trips to Las Vegas, Sanibel, and Phoenix. She loved making snowmen, snow angels, since she was little she has always loved getting new clothes. Sarah loved having pets, especially cats.
Lately some of her favorite things to do was to go to Punch Pizza, Raising Canes, and Mancini' Char House. She always loved going on family leaf walks, picnics, and just observing the wildlife in Murphy Hanrehan Park Reserve. Summers off from school she loved walking or biking down to Orchard Lake Beach, or the Orchard Lake Park, or just tanning in our backyard.  She loved camping and enjoyed big bonfires.

Sarah was a big Marilyn Monroe fan and enjoyed the movie "Some Like It Hot", other favorites were Donnie Darko, The Parent Trap, Meet the Parents, all the "Scary Movies", and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. She loved witty comedy shows like Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Rick and Morty, and Mystery Science Theater 3000 among others. She liked music videos, and  enjoyed all types of music, including Prince, the Beach Boys, The Darkness, Weird Al, They Might Be Giants, Uncle Kracker, The Dixie Chicks, Ace of Base, The Black Crows, Tom Petty and many others.

Sarah is preceded in death by her grandparents, Patricia Kirk, Don Larson, Laurice Sathrie, Quin Sathre, and Richard Beno. She is survived by her children, Avalyn "AJ" and Cohen "Coco" Johnson and their father, Eddie; her mother, Laurie (Steve) McGraw; father, Tim Beno; sisters, Jessica, and Marissa Beno; grandmother, Joyce Stafki, also by other family and friends.

Celebration of Life for Sarah will be held 1 PM Saturday January 31, 2026 at the White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood Tr. Lakeville (952-469-2723) with gathering of family and friends starting at 12 PM
