Scott Kenneth Ruthig, 69, of Lakeville, MN passed away suddenly on March 20, 2025.

Scott was born in Bad Axe, Michigan, on June 26, 1955.  Scott loved many things: his kids, his grandkids, his garage, his truck, golf, fishing, sports, and complaining about the weather.

He was known to many for his hard work as an expert technician within clinical lab engineering but to his family and close friends, he was seen as a kind and compassionate man with a rough exterior but with an incredibly soft interior.  There is no doubt that he will be missed but we can all find some comfort in that he will finally be able to reunite with his wife, Candi, who he lost over 4 years ago.

Proceeded in death by his wife, Candi, father, mother, sister, and brothers.

Survived by his sons Matthew, Eric, and Travis and his brother Paul.

A Memorial Service will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on May 2, 2025, at 10am. Please arrive 15-30 minutes early to queue up. Following the Service, there will be a Celebration at Heritage Links Golf Course in Lakeville, MN. Feel free to bring your clubs and hit a few giant slices in honor of Scott.
