Sharon Ann (Guertin) Evensen, age 82, passed away on August 19, 2026. Sharon spent much of her life in Savage, Minnesota, before retiring with her husband to Grand Rapids, Minnesota, where she made her home for the past 20 years. Sharon was the beloved wife of David Evensen, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. She was a loving mother of five and is survived by her children Angel Smith, William Smith (Tish), Tammie Keller (Gary), and Christine Gould (Jerry). She was a proud grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 10. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and her son, Jeffrie Smith. Throughout her life, Sharon devoted herself to her family and her work. She was a homemaker and later worked in manufacturing assembly at Datacard in Minnetonka, retiring in 2006. Sharon was also an active member of American Legion Post 643 in Savage, where she served as President of the Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling with her husband on couples' teams at Dan Patch Lanes, spending time in nature, and bringing laughter to those around her. Sharon will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the good fortune to know her.
