Sheila Kay Hondl of Lakeville, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on January 28th, 2026, at the age of 61.

Sheila grew up on a farm in Mahnomen, Minnesota. She loved being a teacher and taught at Small Wonders Preschool in Lakeville for nearly 30 years. She made friends everywhere she went and her friendships lasted a lifetime.

Sheila is survived by her husband of 36 years, Mike; her daughter, Megan (Jeremy), and her dog, Cal; sisters Jeanine (Steve) Houska, Bonnie (Paul) Raduns; brothers Dean (Pam) Pederson, and David (Heather) Pederson.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tyler; her sister, Marcia; her brothers, Paul and Neiland; and her parents, Marion and Palmer Pederson.

A special thank you to all of Sheila's friends and family who have supported her throughout her battle with Alzheimer's.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 7th at St. John's Lutheran Church, 20165 Heath Ave, Lakeville. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the service will begin at 2 p.m. with a luncheon to follow.
