Obituary

Steven Gary Olson passed away on December 18th, 2025, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply & who will miss him more than words can say.

Steven was born on March 30th, 1960, to Gary & Shirley Olson. He graduated from Tartan High School in 1978 where he was a scholar athlete. He met the love of his life Judy at the young age of 15 and married May 10th 1980. They went on to welcome three beautiful daughters Melissa, Melanie & Michele.

Steve was a devoted, hands-on husband, Dad & Grandpa. His love for his family was apparent to all he met. He cared deeply about family & taking care of those he loved. His grandchildren were his heart. The time spent with them, the memories made & the moments in between will be with them forever. He was so proud of his three girls but those grand babies were what he truly felt the most pride in, he was the happiest when everyone he loved was together.

Raising three daughters was full of so many Father-Daughter moments. He was there for all the firsts. Steve proudly walked all three of his daughters down the aisle and was there for every single one of the grandchildren's births. He never missed a moment, his steady presence in those moments will be forever cherished.

If you have a memory of Steve-O then you truly know what it was like to be around him. He loved Elvis, Mobster movies, Holidays, fishing, cabins, sports and most famously his pride in "vacuum lines", being a bit of a perfectionist. Steve, along with Judy spent their later years being there for every moment in their kids & grandkids' lives. Birthday parties, sporting events, Holidays, school plays, you name it Grandpa was there. Steve enjoyed spending time with family because it was simply his favorite thing to do.

Steve leaves behind the love of his life Judy, daughters, Melissa, Melanie (Derek) Lafferty, Michele (Bryan) Lukkason, Grandsons, Tyler (Mia), Noah, Evan, Gavin, Landon, Leo, Brooks, Beau and his prized granddaughter, Ellie. Steve also leaves behind so many close family & friends that loved him dearly.

He is now at peace in Heaven, reunited with his Father, Mother & Brother David. Losses that quietly broke his heart, but finding peace knowing his heart is finally whole. His family will continue to grow, knowing how special they were to him.
