Lonsdale
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we share the passing of Tara Burns, on March 31, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Tara was born in Pocatello, ID on September 08,1970 daughter of Kenneth Burns and Diane Burns.
Tara graduated from Apple Valley High School in 1989. She was a 2002 graduate and Golden Key National Honor Society Member of Northern Illinois University.
Tara was a skilled saxophone player and pianist. She received a music scholarship, participated in a two month performance tour of Europe with Great Lakes Ambassador's Orchestra, took first place in Minnesota State Piano Competition for two years, and played at Carnegie Hall.
She started her long standing career at Beckman Coulter, Inc - Danaher Corporation in 2005 and became Senior Development Scientist. She was dedicated to her job and took pride in being impactful and always doing her best.
Tara also enjoyed photography, she had an eye for capturing breathtaking sunrises, flowers and landscapes. Of all the things she enjoyed, nothing outweighed the joy she found in hanging out with family and friends, entertaining her nieces and nephews, and trips up north.
Though she has left us too soon, Tara's warmth, kindness, love, and ability to make us laugh will forever be remembered. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
