Obituary

With hearts full of love and overwhelming grief, we share the news of our beloved son, Taylor Kamano, age 29, who passed away on December 27, 2025. Taylor was born in Minnesota on August 20, 1996, and from the very beginning, he brought kindness, warmth, and light into the lives of those who knew him.

Taylor graduated from Eastview High School in 2015 and went on to graduate from the University of St. Thomas in 2020.

Taylor had the purest heart. He was gentle, loving, funny, and deeply kind, with a big smile and even bigger hugs that were truly unforgettable. His quiet demeanor and calming presence made everyone feel welcomed and loved. When Taylor cared about something, and he cared deeply, he could talk about it endlessly, sharing his passion with joy and enthusiasm.

Traveling the world was one of Taylor's greatest passions. He delighted in experiencing new places and cultures and took special joy in sharing those experiences with others, often through thoughtful gifts from around the world. He went out of his way to explore new culinary experiences wherever he went. Taylor was incredibly worldly, with a deep knowledge of history and geopolitics, and he possessed a natural curiosity about the world and its people. He expressed his one-of-a-kind personality through playing and listening to music, reading all kinds of books, playing video games with his friends, and educating his family whenever they were wrong.

Taylor was clever, determined, and unapologetically himself, choosing to do things his own way. He loved his job at Sun Country and thoroughly enjoyed working with his colleagues.

Taylor is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Michael Kennedy and Kenjiro Kamano.

He is survived by his loving parents, Joy and Tatsushi Kamano, and his brothers, Sean (s/o Taylor Goto), Mikey (s/o Juliana Amante), and Ryan; grandparents, Luonne Kennedy, and Takako Kamano; godparents, Kris and Jill Kennedy; aunts and uncles, Pat and Shelley Kennedy, Holly Kennedy, Ivy and Steve Carroll, Yuka Fukunaga, and Yumi Takai, and by countless family and friends, who will forever carry him in their hearts. Taylor's love, laughter, and presence will be missed beyond words, but the impact he made on those who knew him will never fade.

Taylor's big smile and loving nature will continue to live on through all who knew him.

A Celebration of Taylor's Life will be held 2 PM Saturday January 3, 2026 at the White Funeral Home, 14560 Pennock Ave., Apple Valley (952-432-2001) with a gathering of family and friends starting at 12 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
