Thomas Lee Albertson, age 67 of Wahkon, MN passed away peacefully with family at his side on July 1, 2026 in Lakeville, MN. Tom was born on January 9, 1959 in Minneapolis, MN to Floyd and Virginia (nee: Wilhelm) Albertson. His family lived in Bloomington growing up, in the same home, making lifelong friends. He attended Kennedy High School and graduated in 1977 then continued on to vocational school for HVAC. Tom married Linda Siers on October 18, 1980 in Bloomington, MN.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children, Sarah (Ryan) Roy, and Matthew (Lindsay) Albertson; grandchildren, Macie, Kylee, Zoey, Tatum, and Thomas.; brother, James (Kimberly) Albertson; brother-in-law, Richard (Marci) Siers, also by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Tom spent his career working in Commercial HVAC. His job took a variety of turns but his focus was always to make things run better and more efficiently. Tom made many great friends throughout his career. He also shared his passion through the years with various interns, training them with years of experience and a sense of humor. Even with the diagnoses of early onset Alzheimer's and the return of his cancer, Tom maintained his sense of humor and always held onto hope that he would get better.
Tom grew up spending many years in the Wahkon area on Lake Mille Lacs, MN. He and Linda owned a cabin there which they made their year-round home in the fall of 2015. He loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing, water-skiing, riding the jet ski and sitting on the patio watching the lake. Tom also loved riding his motorcycle, downhill skiing in the Lutsen area, golfing, fishing up in Fort Francis, Canada, and spending time in Carlsbad, California visiting family.
A memorial service will be held at Mercy Road Church in Lakeville, MN, on Wednesday, July 22 at 2:00 p.m. with a gathering of family and friends at 1:00 p.m. and also after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated to Mercy Road Church and the Disabled Veterans.
