Obituary

Thomas B. Zeidler, age 80, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dave, and his sister Peggy. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his children, Paul (Patty), Jennifer, and Matt; and his cherished grandchildren, Jon, Nick, Julie, Maddie, and Zach, along with many dear friends and relatives.

Tom proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1968. Following his military service, he worked for Toro before later retiring from the City of Lakeville in 2016.

Tom lived life with curiosity, energy, and generosity. His many passions included farming, sport flying, motorcycles, camping with family, metal sculpting, and especially walking. Walking became more than a hobby—it became a way for Tom to connect with the world around him. Alongside his beloved dog, Jazz, he walked more than 4,000 miles in a single year. Along the way, he formed countless friendships with neighbors, fellow walkers, and their dogs, becoming a familiar and welcome presence in the community. Tom was always ready to lend a helping hand, whether it meant calling 911 to assist an injured stranger, repairing lawn mowers for others, or simply stopping to talk and brighten someone's day. His kindness, humor, and willingness to help will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Tom will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his devotion to family and friends, and the genuine care he showed to everyone he met.
