Ursula Carol
Mentjes
Apr 13, 1974 — Jun 19, 2026
Apple Valley
With profound love and gratitude for a life that inspired so many, we celebrate the life of Ursula C. Mentjes, who entered into the presence of her Lord on June 19, 2026, at the age of 52.
Born in New Prague, MN, and raised on her family's farm near Le Center, Minnesota, Ursula developed an appreciation for faith, hard work, and the simple joys of country life. As a young girl, she loved caring for her sheep, proudly showing them for 4-H at the county fair. She also competed in track and field and tennis. Those early years shaped the determined spirit, compassionate heart, and adventurous soul that defined her throughout her life.
Ursula believed life was meant to be lived with purpose, courage, and unwavering faith. Whether she was building businesses, mentoring entrepreneurs, speaking from a stage, or encouraging a friend over coffee, she inspired others to believe in possibilities beyond what they could see for themselves.
An accomplished keynote speaker, bestselling author, business coach, and strategist, Ursula dedicated her career to helping people grow—not only professionally, but personally. She believed that success began with courage and often reminded those she mentored.
She often spoke of life's unexpected blessings as being "Divinely orchestrated," trusting that God was faithfully guiding each step of the journey. Her life reflected that trust, and she encouraged countless others to embrace faith over fear and possibility over doubt.
Yet, for all of her professional accomplishments, Ursula's greatest joy was her family.
She loved gathering with friends and family, setting off on spontaneous road trips, boarding a plane for a new adventure, and making memories wherever life took her. She delighted in showing loved ones the places she had called home—from Colorado to California and beyond—and believed that experiences were always better when shared.
She met her husband, Tim, November 15, 1996 in Denver, CO. Two years later they moved to Laguna Beach, CA where Ursula became President of Knowledge Alliance. Tim and Ursula were married June 7, 2003 in Faribault, MN. 10 years later, they had their amazing son, Lucca. When Lucca was 6 months old, Tim and Ursula moved back to Minnesota to be closer to family.
Becoming "Mother" was one of the greatest blessings of her life. Her son, Lucca, was the light of her world. She treasured cheering him on from the baseball stands, teaching him new things, telling bedtime stories, and lingering in the kind of deep conversations that only a mother and son can have. Every moment spent with him was a gift she cherished.
Ursula also held a special place in the hearts of her nieces and nephews. She celebrated their accomplishments, encouraged their dreams, and never hesitated to advocate for them whenever they needed someone in their corner. She had a remarkable way of helping others see strengths they didn't yet recognize in themselves.
Those who knew Ursula will remember her radiant smile, generous spirit, thoughtful heart, and contagious optimism. She had an extraordinary ability to brighten every room she entered and to leave people feeling seen, valued, and inspired. Her kindness was genuine, her encouragement unwavering, and her love for others limitless.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home, 14560 Pennock Avenue, Apple Valley, Minnesota.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Hosanna Church, 9600 163rd Street West, Lakeville, Minnesota, with viewing beginning one hour before the service.
Though our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice in the legacy she leaves behind—a legacy of faith, courage, generosity, and unconditional love. Ursula taught us to dream boldly, to trust God's timing, to encourage others generously, and to never stop believing in what is possible.
Her life was a gift. Her love remains. Her light will continue to shine in all who were blessed to know her.
Ursula often believed that the greatest measure of success was not what we accomplished, but the lives we lifted along the way. She leaves behind a family who adored her, friends who became family, and countless people who are living more courageous lives because she believed in them first.
"Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room... All is well."
