Valerie K
Caven
Jun 2, 2005 — Oct 24, 2025
Farmington
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Valerie Kathleen Caven, age 20, of Farmington, who passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2025, as the result of an auto accident.
Valerie grew up in Farmington, Minnesota. She attended Farmington schools and found joy in playing basketball, soccer, and singing in the choir. Following her high school graduation, she continued her education at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she was pursuing her degree in business marketing and was on track to graduate in December of 2026. Val loved family game nights filled with laughter, date nights with Brody, and long weekends on the water with her family and friends. She was known as a fashionista who enjoyed getting dressed up and going out with those she loved. Her sense of style extended into a love for interior design and decoration, especially when it came to Christmas, which was her favorite holiday.
Valerie was a beautiful soul whose radiant smile could light up any room she entered. Known for her loyalty and compassion, she was always there for those she loved, offering warmth, laughter, and unwavering support. Her feisty spirit and playful sense of humor brought joy to everyone around her. Her sweet, sometimes silly nature reminded us of the beautiful innocence and genuine kindness she possessed. Deeply family-oriented, she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, leaving behind memories filled with laughter, love, and light that will never fade.
Valerie is survived by her loving parents, Todd and Candee Caven; sisters, Alayna and Sabrina; her sweet dog, Stinkers; and the love of her life, Brody Hanley. She also leaves behind her grandparents, Bob Caven and Mike and Cynthia Hessian, as well as her loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and her abundance of adored friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Kathleen
