William (Bill) Howell Moyer

July 7, 1936 – April 4, 2025

Resident of Burnsville, MN; formerly of Bloomington, MN, Paynesville, MN, Edina, MN, and Fargo, ND.

Preceded in death by parents Arthur B. and Elvera H. Moyer, sister Geraldine Viel, brothers John, George, and Gerald Moyer, and nephew Bob Kirk.

Survived by wife of 66 years, Julie Person Moyer; children Jennifer Doersch (Randy), Cynthia/Tia Pannkuk (Warren), and Paul Moyer (Laura); grandchildren Allison Doersch (Gudjon Larusson), Jeffrey Doersch (Allison Mooney), and Scott Moyer; two great grandchildren.

Born in Glendive, Montana and grew up in Fargo, North Dakota.

Graduated from Fargo High School where he was senior class president. Excelled in track and field in high and low hurdles securing ND state records that held for 50 years.

Graduated from Concordia College in Morehead, MN in 1959 with a B.A. in Political Science and Economics.

Professional salesman for 35 years with Gillette, Packaging Incorporated, and president and owner of Moyer-Urich, and Source, Inc., both companies were sales representatives for industrial parts manufacturers.

Spent many wonderful days at the Moyer and Person family lake cabins on Pelican Lake boating, water skiing, and fishing. Traveled internationally. Enjoyed lawn grooming. Extraordinary fix-it man. Loved to tell stories and make people laugh.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 3rd at Good Samaritan Methodist Church, 5730 Grove St, Edina, MN 55436 (952) 929-0049  good.org:
