William F. "Bill" Turek, age 84, of Lonsdale, passed away peacefully at his home on August 10, 2026.

Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, enjoying many games of euchre, fish frys and later, bingo, although he always seemed to have a reason to hurry home afterward. He also loved the great outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He spent 60 years finishing concrete and 10 years working for the City of Lonsdale. After retiring, he could often be found at the ball fields watching his granddaughters or at home watching the Twins.

Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathy, who was his greatest joy and true passion in life. Together they shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. They made countless memories traveling, visiting casinos, listening to old-time music, and, most importantly, spending time with their grandchildren. Bill is also proceeded in death by siblings, Ervin Babe Turek and Julie Ann Leahy.

He is survived by his children, Jim (Gloria) and Missy (Mike) Tuma; grandchildren, Jessica (Joey), Lexie, Jordan (Matt), Chad (Julie), Amber (Chris), and Dustin (Leanna); great-grandchildren, Leila, Landon, Colton, Ostin, Aidan, Dacey, Cassie, Maddie, Carter, Devon, Alayna, Lucas, Jace, and Bentley; brother, Gary Toby (Mary Jo) Turek; along with other loving relatives, in-laws, and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00–11:00 AM, prior to Mass. Interment of Bills cremated remains will take place in Veseli following Mass. A luncheon at the Lonsdale American Legion will follow
