Alice M. LaCoursiere age 78, of Superior WI died peacefully at Ecumen Centennial House in Apple Valley on April 30, 2020. She was born February 24, 1942 in Grand Rapids, MN to Patrick and Hilda Twomey. She graduated from Nashwauk High School, Itasca Jr. College, St. Scholastica and received her Master of Science at UWS-Superior. Alice was preceded in death by her son, Gerald LaCoursiere; sister, Patricia Melin and Audrey Charle; brother, Terry Twomey; and parents. She is survived by her son, Daniel LaCoursiere (Tara Schaefer); and daughter, Lisa LaCoursiere Voland (Rick); sister-in-law, Lillian Twomey; brother-in-law, Jon Melin; and one grandson, Alec Lacoursiere; also, by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Alice taught in the Superior School District for 17 years. The Memorial Service on Monday, July 20, 2020 has been cancelled due to Covid related circumstances. There will not be a future service planned.
