Frank James Witt, age 77 of Apple Valley passed away peacefully on June 16, 2023.

Frank was a self-employed truck driver and longtime resident of Apple Valley, MN. He was born September 21, 1945, in Lacrosse, WI, and raised on a farm in Caledonia, MN. He graduated from Caledonia High School in 1963 and enlisted in the Navy. He served in the Viet Nam War on the USS Kearsarge (CVS-33) for 3 years and was released from active duty and transferred to Naval Reserves.

He attended Winona State University where he obtained his accounting degree. Frank moved to Apple Valley in 1973. He loved keeping busy and held several side jobs making outdoor sheds, wishing wells, and decks. He loved gardening and eating a healthy lifestyle. He loved the Lord, listening to the Scripture on audio, and attending missionary trips. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and soon- to-be great-grandfather.

Preceded in death by his mother, Lois Grace (Nimocks) Witt; father, Dale Francis Witt; sister, Jill, Frances Witt; and brother-in-law, Jack Welch. Survived by his wife, Theresa; children: Lisa (David) Dotson, Shawn Olson, Lynda McKibbin, Jason Witt, and Heather (Ken) Rupp; Grandchildren; Nastasha, Trevor, Jory, Jaden, and Austin; one future great- granddaughter; siblings, Jann Welch, and Lynn, (Mary) Witt; also, by other loving relatives and friends. Memorial service, Saturday, July 8, 2023, 3:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home, 1456O Pennock Ave., Apple Valley. Memorial visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
